OUR SON MOHD JOSHUA DID US PROUD BY WINNING THE DRESSAGE PRELIMINARY A OVER 3 DAYS TO EMERGE RESERVE CHAMPION AND HE FINISHED 2ND IN THE YOUNG RIDERS CHALLENGE CUP AND 5TH IN THE COVETED J.A. RODGERS CUP OVER 1.2 METRES JUMP. ALL WITH HORSE BERTIE.THE COMBINATION ONLY HAD 8 DAYS OF TRAINING B4 THE COMPETITION DUE TO JOSHUA BEING AWAY IN COLLEGE.THANK YOU TO PNTC AND THEIR COACHES INCIK JOHARI LEE AND EDRIC LEE .

RETIREMENT DAY AT PNTC 14/10/2012

FOR THE RECORD ----STARTED MY LAST RACE FOR MRA

14TH OCTOBER 2012 AND AT THE PNTC RACE 10 I STARTED MY LAST RACE FOR THE MRA AFTER BEING THE SENIOR STARTER FOR THE LAST 16 YEARS MAKING A TOTAL OF 42 YEARS IN THE EQUINE INDUSTRY. THE PRESIDENT AND COMMITEE OF PNTC TOGETHER WITH THE P/STEWARDS AND SENIOR STAFF GAVE ME A BEAUTIFUL WATCH TO MARK MY RETIREMENT AT THE COMMITEE LOUNGE. AFTER THE LAST RACE ANOTHER SIMPLE GET TOGETHER AT THE ENQUIRY ROOM WITH THE MRA OFFICIALS TOGETHER WITH LOCAL OFFICIALS ALSO BADE THEIR FAREWELL TO ME. ITS WAS A TOUCHING MOMENT FOR ME. NOW TO LOOK FORWARD TO MY NEW CAREER IN A DIFFERENT ROLE. PHOTOS WILL SOON BE UPDATED.

MEDICAL UPDATE FOR THE RECORD

I was admitted to the Gleneagles Hospital for a COLONOSCOPY,ENDOSCOPY AND ANGIOPLASTY Test on the 4th September 2012. It was a painful experience.I was discharged on Saturday 8th September 2012. Details of the tests i rather not elaborate here.InsyaAllah all is tolerable and under control.

Josh going back to college 23/7/2012

Josh after a month back home with us is leaving tonite for the college in Melbourne. How time flies,the next holidays will be in November and that break will be longer. A new student will be accompanying him back to college LOL my wifey with all the excuses to go with Josh...have to unpack,decorate his room,cook rendang and freeze it for Hari Raya,YES talking about Raya this be 1 st time Josh be away from us after 19 years.Sedih jugak ingat2 tapi its for his career so redha aje lah insyaallah there be more Raya together.We spend quality time this holiday with him and he had all his favourite food even went to Ipoh for the assam fish head for the 1st day of buka puasa.I take this opportunity to wish all my muslim friends Selamat Berpuasa.

Josh back for a holiday/Sukma 2012

The Penang Equestrian team in SUKMA Melaka.

Joshua is back from the College for the semester break from 20/6/2012 to 23/7/2012 he will also be trying out to qualify for the Sukma 2012 Penang Equestrian team just like the last Sukma in Malacca insyaAllah.

Joshua's 1st stint at weanling sales Oakland Junction Melbourne

Joshua had his 1st experience at a Weanling sales at Oakland Junction horse sales complex by Inglis Bloodstock. Horses are referred to as weanling between the time they are weaned from their mothers and turn one year old. After they have turned one, they are referred to as yearlings.Joshua's journey starts on Saturday 19th May 2012 to a farm in Winchelsea Victoria and then onwards to Melbourne with the horses.The sale starts on Tuesday 22nd May 2012 and they returned to College in the evening.It was an experience second to none for 4 days grooming and getting the weanling ready for the sale. He also met Gaye Gaucci at the sales and had a long chat with her.I spoke to Peter Heagney an old friend with the Inglis group about the possibility of Joshua going to see him and say hello and Peter was delighted of the possibility of seeing Joshua, but as in any sales everyone was busy and so Joshua missed seeing Peter Heagney. There will be other opportunities i am sure in the not too distant future.In Melbourne Joshua stayed at F1 hotel near Tullamarine Airport.Joshua went with a college mate also name Joshua who hails from Melbourne now studying the same course at SWTAFE Glenormiston.I am sure its an experience money cannot buy.Well done son we are proud of you.Alhamdullilah all went well,Insyaallah.

Josh horse "STEALTH KNIGHT" at college

Josh was given a horse by leading Warrnambool Trainer Jarrod McLean to look after and ride at his college. The horse name is Stealth Knight.After the 2 weeks semester break in April2012, where he joined the Mclean team which gave him a first hand look at a racing stables and a wealth of experience,he was offered the horse to look after,when he is away from the college,he will sent the horse back to the Mclean stables.As long as he is in college the horse can be his to look after.It was surely a kind gesture by Mr McLean.
Josh is all excited and will be kept busy with doing his assignments and looking after the horse.Knowing Josh he is able to cope and happy he has a horse to ride and care for, afterall as he is going for his Advance Diploma in Horse Management and a horse to care for and ride is good for him.Good riding son and insyaallah all will be good.

27TH MARCH 2012

27TH MARCH 2012 a historical day for my son Mohd Joshua.His scholarship for his stint in SWTAFE College Glenormiston Victoria was approved by the Board here in Malaysia, Congrats Josh.alhamdullilah syukur pada ALLAH SWT. Thank you to all that assist in getting the scholarship and thank you for recognising the family and my 40 years service to the Equine industry.Insyaallah my son Mohd Joshua will strive for futher excellence in the industry.

HISTORICAL 15TH FEBUARY 2012

I put off doing this n3 from that historical date for me when we embarked on that journey to AUSTRALIA to sent our son Mohd Joshua for further studies in SW TAFE GLENORMISTON COLLEGE (2 yrs course in Advance Diploma Horse Management) in Melbourne Victoria.I still have not put in the pictures and the story as we miss him and still not able to write without feeling the emptiness of being away from him.Here are the significant dates to remember and the story and pictures will follow at a later date insyaallah.

15th febuary 2012------Penang to KL (Malaysia Airlines) Stayed at KLIA transit Airport Hotel.
16th febuary 2012.......KL to Perth Malaysia Airlines(stayed at house 58 Matlock Street Julie picked us up at airport)
19th febuary 2012------Perth to Melbourne city (Jetstar)Stayed at Punthill apartments Little Bourke Street)
24TH FEBUARY 2012------Melbourne city to Warrnambool via Great Ocean Road 6hrs (I drove Toyota Rav 4) a breathtaking view of the coastal road.(Stayed at Lady Bay resort)
27th febuary 2012------ Joshua checked in Campus at Glenormiston.
28th febuary 2012------ Josh stayed with us at Warrnambool Lady Bay resort.
29th febuary 2012------ We sent Josh back to college and said our goodbye for now and i drove back to Melbourne with Ina this time via princess highway and it took us 4 hrs.(stayed at Punthill apartment Little Bourke Street)
1st March 2012...... Melbourne to KL and Penang
2nd March2012 ...... 12.25am arrived Penang and 1.20am arrived home alhamdullilah syukur all is well insyaallah.

Never be judgemental (LIFE'S LESSON)

RECEIVED EMAIL FROM MY BROTHER AND ITS TOO GOOD NOT TO SHARE JUST THINK ABOUT THE STORY FOR A MOMENT.....

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call as soon as possible, changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy’s father going and coming in the hall waiting for the doctor. Once seeing him, the dad yelled, “Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t you know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t you have the sense of responsibility?”

The doctor smiled and said, “I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital and I came the fastest I could after receiving the call…… And now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work.”

“Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now what will you do??” said the father angrily

The doctor smiled again and replied: “From dust we came and to dust we return, blessed be the name of God”. Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go and intercede for your son, we will do our best by God’s grace.”

“Giving advice when we’re not concerned is so easy,” murmured the father.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy.

“Thank goodness! Your son is saved!” And without waiting for the father’s reply he carried on his way running. “If you have any question, ask the nurse!!”

“Why is he so arrogant? He couldn’t wait some minutes so that Ican ask about my son’s state” commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: “His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was in the burial when we called him for your son’s surgery. And now that he saved your son’s life, he left running to finish his son’s burial.”
