DATE WITH PET

iTS NOT AN APRIL FOOL JOKE,AS ITS ON THE 2ND APRIL 09 AND ITS NOT A DATE WITH A GIRL OR A PET BUT A DATE WITH WIJAYA MEDICAL CENTRE IN KL,WHERE MY WHOLE BODY BE SCAN USING RADIOACTIVE GLUCOSE,TO SEE IF ANYTHING IS MOVING THAT IS NOT IN THE NORM,A PET SCAN IS THE BEST TO FIND OUT IF THE CANCER IS UNDER CONTROL AS EXPLAINED BELOW... The reason why PET is so successful is that no other imaging technique shows the internal chemistry of the body so well. Conventional imaging techniques such as X-ray, CAT scans, and Magnetic Imaging Resonance shows anatomy. PET detects chemical and metabolic changes in disease states, such as cancer, before anatomic and structural changes (detected by conventional imaging) have time to develop. Therefore PET can detect diseases when anatomic imaging studies are still normal, and may be informative in differentiating benign from malignant process. PET evaluation of tissue metabolism can indicate the probable presence or absence of malignancy based on differences of biological activity, where as anatomic imaging depends on size and radiographic characteristics of lesions to determine the likelihood of malignancy. In addition, whole body imaging with PET provides a means to examine all the organ systems in the entire body for both primary and metastatic disease in one procedure.

YES AGAIN I PRAY GOD,INSYAALLAH,ALL WILL BE WELL,AND THE REPORT WILL BE GOOD,SO FAMILY AND FRIENDS PLEASE PRAY FOR ME.

LOOKING BACK TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS

50's and 60's / early
'70s............

First, we survived with mothers who had no maids. They cooked /cleaned while
taking care of us at the same time.
We took aspirin, candies floss, fizzy drinks, shaved ice with syrups and
diabetes were rare. Salt added to Pepsi or Coke was remedy for fever
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we
rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention
as children, we would ride with our parents on bicycles/ motorcycles 2
or 3 of us together. Richer ones in cars with no seat belts or air bags.
Riding in the back of a private taxi was a special treat.
We drank water from the tap and NOT from the bottle.
We would spend hours on the fields under bright sunlight flying our kites,
without worrying about the UV ray which never seem to affect us.
We go to jungle to catch spiders without worries of Aedes mosquitoes.
With mere 5 pebbles (stones) would be a endless game. With a ball (tennis
ball best) we boys would run like crazy for hours.
We catch guppy in drains / canals and when it rain we swim there.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE
actually worry about being unhygienic.
We ate salty, very sweet & oily food, candies, bread and real butter and
drank very sweet soft drinks, sweet coffee/ tea, ice kacang, but we weren't
overweight because......
WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!BURNING OFF THE EXCESS CALORIES,
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, till streetlights came
on.
No one was able to reach us all day. There were no handphones. And we were O.K.
We would spend hours repairing our old bicycles and wooden scooters made out of soap boxes,
scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes.
After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, multiple channels on
cable TV, DVD movies, no surround sound, no phones, no personal computers,
no Internet.BUT WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
We fell down from trees, got cuts and bruises, broke bones and teeth and we still continued
the stunts.
We never had birthdays parties till we are 21,
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and just yelled for them!no such thing as a phone call or emails.
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of.
They
actually sided with the law!
Yet this generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem
solvers, inventors and leaders.
The past 40years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned
HOW TO
DEAL WITH IT ALL AND COPED AND BECAME GOOD MUM AND DAD.JUST ASK YOUR KIDS..INSYAALLAH AND GOD BLESS AND AMEEN.

YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS YOUNG

A friend, somewhere far away in CANADA,triggered my memories of younger days..
The lyrics to the song YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS YOUNG....explains it all.LOOK UP THE TUNE ,ITS BEAUTIFUL AND BRING BACK MEMORIES.

Yesterday, when I was young,
The taste of life was sweet, as rain upon my tongue,
I teased at life, as if it were a foolish game,
The way the evening breeze may tease a candle flame

The thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I planned,
I always built, alas, on weak and shifting sand,
I lived by night, and shunned the naked light of day,
And only now, I see, how the years ran away

Yesterday, when I was young,
So many happy songs were waiting to be sung,
So many wild pleasures lay in store for me,
And so much pain, my dazzled eyes refused to see

I ran so fast that time, and youth at last ran out,
I never stopped to think, what life, was all about,
And every conversation, I can now recall,
Concerned itself with me, and nothing else at all

Yesterday, the moon was blue,
And every crazy day, brought something new to do,
I used my magic age, as if it were a wand,
And never saw the worst, and the emptiness beyond

The game of love I played, with arrogance and pride,
And every flame I lit, too quickly, quickly died,
The friends I made, all seemed somehow to drift away,
And only I am left, on stage to end the play

There are so many songs in me, that won't be sung,
I feel the bitter taste, of tears upon my tongue,
The time has come for me to pay,
For yesterday, when I was young

MY LOOKS AT LIFE

Me in 1973.
MY LOOKS AT LIFE

Look back and say thank you life
Look forward and trust life
Look around and serve life
Look within and find life

"I asked myself 'How do I get the best out of
life?'
and something inside me said, 'Face your past without regrets.
Handle your present with confidence.
Prepare for the future without fear!'"

"Without the past, present and future our week is:
Mournday, Tearsday, Wasteday, Thirstday, Fightday,
Shatterday and Sinday.
So, allow the past ,present and future to be with you every day!"
"Life is short, so forgive quickly. Believe slowly..
Love truly. Laugh
uncontrollably. Never regret anything that
makes you happy. And have a wonderful journey.Never lose that sense of humor ,the challenge, the dreams, the laughter, the tears ,the memories and most of all the hope of a better tomorrows.Just count your blessings and never regret, live your life to the fullest, its not how long you live but the way you lived it that counts in the end.You only live but once.God Bless and Ameen

MISS THE OUTINGS

Ina and Josh enjoying our outing in penang.

Now after my treatments i am a little shy of the sun as advised my doctors. This is to ensure that my radiated area does not get exposed to the sun as it may cause problems and seeing that my work is already giving me lots of sunbath,i decided to sacrifice our outdoor outings and find other recreation and fun with my family.Sometimes its bowling nites, just walking the mall,or karaoke with friends at home.Still its fun but i do miss the outdoor outings.I am very happy lately to be in touch with a new found friend from CANADA,a perfect gentleman and a scholar all role into one.I must say welcome to my world,my CANADIAN/MALAYSIAN friend. My next review will be PET SCAN, in April 09,at WIJAYA MEDICAL CENTRE,KL.Insyaallah all will be well with family and friends saying a prayer for me.GOD BLESS AND AMEEN.
